MONTGOMERY COUNTY EXTENDS ONLINE SURVEY ON PEPCO SERVICE TO FEB. 14

ROCKVILLE, Md., Feb. 8 -- Montgomery County issued the following City Council news release:

Residents and businesses will have a few extra days to offer opinions and feedback on the reliability of Pepco service through a survey conducted by the Pepco Work Group appointed by County Executive Isiah Leggett. The deadline has been extended through Monday, Feb. 14.

The survey is designed to obtain information on how the public views Pepco's service, the extent to which customers have experienced outages and the economic impact of those outages. The survey also seeks to gain insight as to what additional costs customers would be willing to incur, if any, in exchange for improved service.

Different surveys-one for business customers and one for residential customers-are offered. The appropriate surveys can be accessed at the following links (NOTE: if links do not take you to the survey, copy the address and paste URL into the address line of your Internet browser.):

If both surveys apply, customers are asked to complete each one.

The Pepco Work Group is comprised of community leaders who were appointed to investigate the reliability of Pepco's service in Montgomery County and formulate concrete steps necessary to improve that service. The group's recommendations will be shared with Pepco and the Maryland Public Service Commission (Pepco's regulatory authority).
